Golf Illustrated June 1899 - June 1908 (Volumes I - XXXVI ) then Jan 1909 – Dec 1914 (Volumes XXXIX – LV). 59 Volumes in total. This is not a complete run from 1899 through 1914, it is missing Volumes XXXVII and XXXV111 for the period June 1908 – December 1908. These historic magazines were published in London at Temple Chambers and were bound periodically by the publisher into handsome books.
Note: This item is a scan of all the pages from the 59 volumes and not the original magazines/books, which are difficult to find and pricey when they can be found. Each volume ranges from 250-600 pages in total.
Golf Illustrated is one of the most comprehensive and detailed sources for those interested in the history of the game and would be an excellent source of golf research material. It contains details of the major events in the golf world including interviews, results of matches, stories and advertisements. The magazines/books contains loads of pictures and images. The magazine was known as "The Weekly Organ of the Royal & Ancient Game" when it was published.
