He was also a golf course architect and this book focuses on that aspect of his work. Among the golf courses James Braid designed are the courses at Gleneagles, St. Enodoc, Brora, and West Sussex. He also renovated many, many more including Carnoustie. The book gives a nice description of each course and Braid's impact on it. Includes some interesting black and white pictures of Braid as well as pictures and illustrations of various Braid golf courses.
